CONTRACT (demo)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Imagine a world where people are only allowed to play 30 minutes of video games each day...
That is the dystopian world where Larry and Barry live, two young brothers who are surrounded by adults bound by their employer contracts, a government that is obsessed with surveillance, and a society where pursuing one's dream is a foreign concept.
CONTRACT is a turn-based first person dungeon crawler where you have to manage your resources and limited play-time per day.
Collect arcade tickets to hopefully afford the impossibly expensive Home Console every kid dreams of owning at home.
While this world already sounds bleak...
There is a secret the government is hiding... rumor has it, it's as ridiculous as a... pocket universe?!
Find out whether this secret is real. Larry and Barry may just be the perfect people to bring life back into this dystopia.

This version is currently a demo. I plan to release the full game before December 2025!
This game was a submission for the Turn Based Dungeon Crawler Jam.

Version 0.3
I really like the battle music, very tense and dramatic with lots of flourishes!
Got up to the Greater Demon and the notebook but couldn't equip the combo, then I restarted and could equip it but still couldn't defeat it after it heals.
Could be because their levels resets after fights? Thought maybe if it was because I was defeated but happened after I escaped and won as well. Playing on windows through Wine so that might introduce some bugs.
Neat concept with the fights being arcade cabinets and I like the expressive hands as characters, I think you could come up with some neat stuff with this!
Hey hyper, thanks for playing my game! I really appreciate you giving it a crack <3
I just tested the game again and I could equip the combo easily. You switch pages by pressing Q or W in the Skill Equip menu. But then you mentioned you were playing it through Wine (Linux?) so it could just be unoptimised. I'll continue trying to replicate your issue in the mean time.
Thanks for the kind words again!
I found the issue and it's my fault thanks for letting me know!
